dosfx.com has it's own IRC server at irc.dosfx.com. This site's channel is
#dosfx and the network channel (much more active) is #thezone. dosfx.com is
part of TheZone IRC Network.
TheZone's website has a browser-based chat client for those of you who do not have
one. You can also download a client as well. My favorite is mIRC which can be found
at www.mirc.com.
IRC can be confusing at first. If you would like more help on IRC, check the mIRC help
file or visit www.irchelp.org. Once connected
to our network, you can also also ask for help in the channel #help and one of the
network staff members will help you if they are available.
TheZone IRC Network was founded on the principal of no harassment. If you are on our
network and feel harassed, let one of the staff members know. Alternatively, if you
are coming to our network just to harass people, don't waste your time. You'll be
abruptly escorted off the network.
